[News] No More US Electronics Ban!

The US electronics ban is completely over! Saudia has just announced that passengers can bring their own electronic devices onboard, which means they are no longer subjected to the US electronics ban for the US-bound flights. Therefore, all of nine airlines previously subjected to electronics ban are now cleared from the ban list:

  • Etihad Airways: ban lifted out of Abu Dhabi at 7/2/2017
  • Emirates: ban lifted out of Dubai at 7/5/2017
  • Turkish Airlines: ban lifted out of Istanbul at 7/5/2017
  • Qatar Airways: ban lifted out of Doha at 7/5/2017
  • Royal Jordanian: ban lifted out of Amman at 7/9/2017
  • Kuwait Airways: ban lifted out of Kuwait City at 7/9/2017
  • EgyptAir: ban lifted out of Cairo at 7/12/2017
  • Royal Air Maroc: ban lifted out of Casablanca at 7/13/2017
  • Saudia: ban lifted out of Riyadh at 7/19/2017

However, if you traveling from the airport mentioned above, be aware of the additional security screening at the gate. Also, your electronic devices could be tested before entering the gate area. It would be great if you are able to arrive to airport early.

However, there is no changes for the UK electronics ban, which applies for flights from: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
