[News] Alaska Airlines Has Added Singapore Airlines as Frequent Flyer Partner for Mileage Earning & Redemption

According to news release from Alaska Airlines (click me), Alaska Airlines have announced the new frequent flyer partnership with one of the Star Alliance members – Singapore Airlines. From 9/27/2017, members of Alaska Airlines MileagePlan and Singapore Airlines Krisflyer will begin earning miles on each other’s flights. The mileage redemption will be announced later date. Here is the mileage earning rate table of Alaska Airlines’ member when flying Singapore Airlines’ flights:

When it comes to long-haul first class / business class award redemption, Singapore Airlines have only released award spaces to their own Krisflyer members. Therefore, it will still be unclear that if Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan can have any of access to Singapore Airlines’ premium cabin class for long-haul flights. However, it is great to see Alaska Airlines have added one of the great partners for future mileage earning / redemption, which makes Alaska Airlines’ MileagePlan even more valuable!
