1. Quarterly 5x spending bonus is limited to first $1,500 spending in selected categories. You may activate the 5x spending bonus through This Link.

2. Points earned may be redeemed as cash back at 1 cent/point value. However, transferring points to high-end Ultimate Rewards cards, such as Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve, may increase points value to 1.5 cents/point or more.

3. By making product change from high-end Chase Ultimate Rewards cards to Chase Freedom, you could hold multiple Chase Freedom cards at the same time and utilize $1,500 quarterly 5x spending bonus limit per card.

Restrictions when you apply:

1. Chase Freedom is under Chase's “5/24 limitation”, which means if you have opened 5 or more new credit card accounts in the past 24 months, you will not be automatically approved for this card.

2. Chase allows up to two credit card approvals per day, and credit hard-pull will be combined if applied on the same day.

3. If you are not automatically approved by Chase, you may call Chase Reconsideration Line: 1-888-270-2127

Chase Freedom is great for beginners in credit card points and frequent flyer/hotel programs. The advantage of this card is that it has no annual fee and comes with quarterly 5x spending bonus categories. If you utilized the quarterly $1,500 limit of 5x spending bonus, it is very easy to earn 30,000 Ultimate Rewards points each year by just spending $6,000 on this card. 30,000 Ultimate rewards points can be very valuable if transfer to other high end Ultimate Rewards cards, such as Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve, for your travel purposes.
