  • Special Offer: Add an Authorized User to earn additional 5,000 Bonus Points.
  • Bonus Category: 2x points for travel & dining, 1x points for all other purchases.

1. Points earned may be redeemed as cash back at 1 cent/point value. However, transferring points to frequent flyer/hotel partners may get you better value when redeemed for travel purposes since Chase has lots of great airline/hotel program partners.

2. Using Chase Sapphire Preferred for rental car payment is eligible for Primary Insurance provided by this card.

3. We suggest that using multiple Chase Ultimate Rewards card to earn points faster together. For example: transfer points from Chase Freedom (earning 5x points per dollar for selected spending categories) to Chase Sapphire Preferred can make you earn points faster.

Restrictions when you apply:

1. Chase Freedom is under Chase's “5/24 limitation”, which means if you have opened 5 or more new credit card accounts in the past 24 months, you will not be automatically approved for this card.

2. Chase allows up to two credit card approvals per day, and credit hard-pull will be combined if applied on the same day.

3. If you are not automatically approved by Chase, you may call Chase Reconsideration Line: 1-888-270-2127.

This card is a must-have card if you would like to use Chase Ultimate Rewards points for your travel. With this card, you may transfer UR points to travel partners and redeem for award air tickets/award hotel nights. It is highly recommended to hold multiple Chase Ultimate Rewards cards like Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase ink Preferred… etc. since you may utilize each card's spending bonus categories to earn more UR points for your next luxury travel.
