1. Standard offer is 30,000 miles after $1,000 spending in three month. But this card often has increased sign-up bonus of 50,000 miles after $2,000 spend, or targeted 70,000 miles after $3,000 spending. Therefore, it's recommended to wait till you have seen the 50,000 miles offer or 70,000 miles offer before you apply this card.

2. After holding the card for a year, you may downgrade the card to the no annual fee version of United credit card if you do not wish to pay the annual fee.

Restrictions when you apply:

1. Chase Freedom is under Chase's “5/24 limitation”, which means if you have opened 5 or more new credit card accounts in the past 24 months, you will not be automatically approved for this card.

2. Chase allows up to two credit card approvals per day, and credit hard-pull will be combined if applied on the same day.

3. If you are not automatically approved by Chase, you may call Chase Reconsideration Line: 1-888-270-2127.

United is one of the 3 legacy US airlines that most frequent travelers will fly on for domestic travel. If you happen to live close to a United Hub, getting this card might be a good choice for your travel while saving some money, such as checking your 1st bag for free. There are a few card holder benefit that's worth mentioning:

1. Priority boarding privileges for booking United's flights.

2. Free 1st checked bag for cardholder and companion on domestic United flights.

3. Two United Club passes each year to enjoy the airport lounge during your trip.
